Boston Foodie Events This Week

Hey Bostonian Foodies,

Do I have some news for you! There are two fabulous foodie related events going on in Boston this week and I feel I need to share these with you.

#1 Olive Oil Ice Cream at Emack and Bolio’s.

Say whaaaa? EVOO ice cream? (That was my initial reaction).

California Olive Ranch, which produces premium extra virgin olive oil is partnering with Emack and Bolio’s ice cream shop to bring Boston an exclusive, limited time only flavor: EVOO, California Olive Ranch Miller’s Blend. This flavor is available only through Friday, September 30th so make sure to stop by before it’s gone! You can find this exclusive flavor at one of three Emack and Bolio’s locations:

o   290 Newbury Street, Boston, MA

o   100 City Square,  Charlestown, MA

o   Porter Square Shopping Center, Cambridge, MA

Although I haven’t tried it, the California Olive Ranch Miller’s Blend EVOO is described to have a “fruity beginning that is balanced with a warm lingering spice. Combined with the cool sensation of ice cream, it is the perfect fall treat!”

I love ice cream. I love olive oil. If you do the math, I think the probability I would enjoy EVOO ice cream is high. Like I always say, “don’t knock it til you try it.” Let me know if you make it to try this limited time only ice cream. Would love to hear your thoughts.

#2 Film Premiere of The Greenhorns at the Brattle Theater

This documentary, directed by a Cambridge native, is about “the struggle and valor of young farmers in America.” If you care about local food, fresh food, or sustainable practices, this film is for you. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with young farmer leaders in the greater-Boston area.

The film premiere starts at 7pm and is located at the Brattle Theater in Harvard Sq, Cambridge. Don’t miss the panel discussion and party following the film. Tickets are $5.

Hope you can make at least one if not both of these events this week!

Peace, love, and food,

I was not paid by either of these sponsors to promote these events. California Olive Ranch is sending me a product for review.

  1. Hey Kara,

Another event to add to the list is the Boston Local Food Festival on Saturday.
