A true foodie at heart, Kara’s food philosophy is rooted in balance and true lifestyle change. Instead of dieting or labeling certain ingredients as “good” or “bad,” she encourages people to understand how food affects their bodies and focus on the enjoyment of eating what they love in moderation. With a background in counseling, Kara takes a holistic approach to health and wellness, making recommendations that are both achievable and sustainable.

Kara received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science from Boston University and completed her dietetic internship at Mount Auburn Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. She is an active member of the Massachusetts Dietetic Association, Dietitians in Business and Communication, Nutrition Entrepreneurs, and Food and Culinary Professionals dietetic practice groups.

In her spare time, you can find Kara practicing yoga, taking photos of her food, or cuddling up with her imperial cat, Constantine. Keep up with Kara on Twitter @karalydonRD
